Ganga Marg Bungalow Garden
A xeriscaped front garden and shaded rear lawn built around an existing neem tree, with rainwater harvesting beneath the drive.
Keeping the neem
A mature neem sat awkwardly in the middle of the rear plot. Removing it would have simplified the layout considerably; instead the whole garden was planned around its canopy, and the lawn was sized to fit the shade it casts in April.
Water under the drive
A harvesting pit beneath the paved drive takes runoff from both the roof and the hardstanding, recharging groundwater rather than sending it to the street.
