A shade-first proposal for a metro station forecourt, prioritising tree canopy and waiting space over vehicle circulation.
Shade before paving
Station forecourts in Jaipur are typically paved wide and planted thin. This study inverts the ratio, testing how much canopy a forecourt can carry while still meeting drop-off and accessibility requirements.
