Dravyavati Riverfront Commons
A studio study proposing a continuous public edge along the Dravyavati corridor, built from flood-tolerant planting and stepped access.
An unbuilt study
This is studio research rather than a commission. It asks what a continuous public edge along the corridor could be if the seasonal flood line were treated as the organising element instead of a problem to be walled away.
Designing for the flood line
The proposal steps access down toward the water in bands, each planted for the length of inundation it can expect. The upper bands stay dry and hold the paths and seating; the lower bands are expected to flood and are planted accordingly.
